The government committee concerned with the strategy of digital transformation, at its meeting today headed by Engineer Hussein Arnous, Prime Minister, agreed to implement a number of projects related to completing the completion of digital transformation and simplifying procedures in a number of ministries. these projects.
The projects included starting the completion of the electronic travel ticket and electronic invoicing, preparing a study to digitize the work of the Central Authority for Financial Control, automating the operations of electronic domes of the General Organization for Road Transport, automating import licenses and the electronic platform for small and medium enterprises, in addition to building specialized technical capabilities in the Ministry of Communications and Technology.
Engineer Arnous stressed the importance of continuous follow-up by all ministries of the transformation strategy and putting projects into service, according to the specified time schedules with the aim of simplifying procedures and preparing a central database in each sector, stressing the need for priority implementation for the projects included in the ministries plan for which credits are allocated, and the importance of continuous coordination. With the Ministry of Communications and Technology, regarding the projects proposed to achieve digital transformation, according to the competencies of each ministry and the services it provides.
For his part, the Minister of Communications and Technology, Eng. Iyad Al-Khatib, gave a presentation on the implementation of digital transformation projects in the ministries, the stages reached by each project, and the necessary measures to overcome any obstacles to the implementation of the strategy, as it included the third and final phase of the cloud computing project, the government procurement system, the management of commercial operations, and the management of the electronic permit to transfer Goods, investor platform, automation of industrial, health, tax and commercial registry, enable governance, and motivate workers in digital transformation projects.
