Miesbach – The two charging stations at Habererplatz in Miesbach have officially been put into operation.
The city is providing the space free of charge.
Although the charging stations at Habererplatz in Miesbach had been ready for some time, on Friday (September 23) everyone who had helped to make this charging station possible came together and officially released it.
Next to the quick and normal charging station is a board listing six sponsors: the car dealerships Weingärtner, Weiß, Schmid, Eder and Pötzinger and the company Heid/Brummi Fit.
They paid for the construction cost subsidy of 10,000 euros that the Stadt der Energie Südbayern (ESB) had to pay as investor and operator of the charging stations.
The city council had discussed charging stations at Habererplatz several times, and in the end a suitable location was found near the transformer house.
And Mayor Gerhard Braunmiller went in search of sponsors to collect the necessary sum.
The city is making the area available free of charge, for which Josef Lipp, Team Leader New Business Areas at ESB, thanked the sponsors.
No additional costs for parking
With the system, the city has four more charging points, two fast and two normal chargers.
The former allow up to 120 kilowatts to flow into the batteries, "in a maximum of 30 minutes you can drive 200 kilometers again," explained Lipp.
According to ESB, only green electricity from 100 percent hydropower is used at the two charging stations.
Payment is made via credit card and app or a card that e-car drivers receive from a provider under a contract and for which the tariff is fixed.
There are no additional costs for parking, it is free during the charging process.
Even as soon as the battery is full, you don't have to pay a parking fee right away.
But that is not a free pass.
The state of charge can be seen, and cars that have been parked for too long should definitely be reported to the city.
Gerhard Braunmiller is pleased that there are now seven charging stations in Miesbach.
"This is a sign that we are taking the development of electromobility into account," said the mayor.
The city council members Paul Fertl, Franz Mayer, Erhard Pohl, Manfred Burger, Petra Six and Hedwig Schmid accompanied him during the official commissioning.
The sponsors Martina and Markus Weiß, Christian Schmid, Martin Weingärtner and Martin Pötzinger were also there.
