It works very well for us

Last Thursday, France 2 broadcast an unpublished issue of

"Complément d'Enquête"

devoted to the pornography industry in France while it is in the sights of justice.

Since October 2020, a judicial investigation has been opened for "aggravated human trafficking, gang rape and aggravated pimping" against the authors of the French Bukkake site.

Sixteen men were charged and most were jailed.

Another case concerns the company Jacquie & Michel where four men, including the founder of the site, were indicted for "aggravated pimping, trafficking in human beings in an organized gang, rape with torture and acts of barbarism".

LE FIGARO.

– What did you think of the issue of “Complément d'Enquête” broadcast last Thursday on France 2?

Laly VALLADE.

I am quite shocked by certain passages.

In the case of the sexual violence of the French Bukkake platform, people closed their eyes when some knew that the producers were despicable guys.

I don't know how Dorcel was able to broadcast scenes of these guys on its platform.

Overall, the report was quite oriented, the porn industry was presented as sordid and unhealthy.

What exactly is going on in this industry?

LV -

It's easy to attack porn.

I am neither a feminist nor the woman who will defend porn at all costs.

I am between the two.

But in France, porn is absolutely unregulated.

If we compare with the United States or even with the countries of the East, there are agencies that make the link between the actresses and the productions.

In France, if a girl wants to get started, she has nothing, she will manage on her own.

By contacting a large structure like Dorcel, she will not necessarily have an answer.

So she searches the Internet, goes to meetings without knowing where she is going and finds herself stuck in a gear.

How do these agencies work?

LV -

It's like a model agency, you are supervised and registered with all the necessary information: your characteristics, what you do, what you don't do and your price, which is non-negotiable.

For each role, you have your script in advance, you can cancel whenever you want and you are very well supported from start to finish, both medically and administratively.

Both actresses and actors are protected and advised.

But in France, it doesn't exist because it's illegal, it's considered pimping.

If these agencies were authorized, the problems affecting the French porn industry would be largely solved.

TRISTAN.

There are only two solutions in France: frame and legislate in a clear and strict manner or ban.

In the United States, a girl who already has her Onlyfans account and wants to increase her visibility by doing porn will sign up with an agency and be put in touch with established productions.

In France, this link and these intermediaries do not exist.

Everything is very controlled in the USA, there are regular FBI investigations to check the contracts, to ensure that everyone is of legal age and that consent is systematically collected upstream.

The regulations are strict, if you do not respect them, you risk prison.

“I find that porn in France has become dirty”

Laly Vallade

As it happens in France within large production companies like Dorcel?

T. –

Before becoming a director, I worked in front of the camera, notably with Dorcel.

Laly worked with them as well.

When they set up a production, there are real employment contracts, it is well supervised and the legislation is respected.

As a rule, everything goes well.

You are considered and properly paid.

LV –

Dorcel has always done what is necessary to ensure that the actors and actresses are well treated and that everyone feels good.

It is important to distinguish between their own productions and those they distribute elsewhere to broadcast them on their platform.

This is what happened with the French Bukkake affair.

T.-

Knowing the seriousness of Grégory Dorcel, he is so concerned about the image of his company that he really should not have been aware of the existence of these videos on his platform.

LV –

I find that porn in France has become dirty.

Before, Dorcel was a good reference for a long time, then you have Jacquie & Michel who arrived and it was a descent into hell.

He brought that dirty side into the production process, it's sickening.

It became a race for money and Dorcel got lost in it to the detriment of its code of ethics.

Before that, Dorcel would never have made the mistake of broadcasting videos like those of French Bukkake.

The market is also occupied by these free sites with free access

which are in the eye of justice in France

.

How do you view these sites?

T.-

There was a big reversal in the business when the "hits" started appearing.

With the free, many productions did not survive and 80% of the producers of the American west coast closed shop or were bought by these sites.

As a production, we know that promoting our content on social networks brings in little money.

On the other hand, a very effective way to generate traffic on our own sites is to use the “tubes”.

Dorcel fights against the “tubes” because it does not wish to work with them and it multiplies the actions of suppression for violation of copyright.

Other productions will choose to work with them.

But if tomorrow the “tubes” closed shop, we would all be delighted.

The report of "Complément d'Enquête" shows the example of this British football player whose private intimate videos are found against her will on these "tubes"...

LV -

If tomorrow I want to turn the page on my career in porn and have all the content where I appear removed, I could not do it, or at least very difficult.

It would be very complicated.

But it's the same for everyone in fact.

I don't have this problem because I come to terms with my past.

Everything I did, I did in full consciousness and of my own free will.

It was my approach, my desire and today, I continue to work in this industry even if I have not been an actress for a few years.

But for all those girls who just did it for the money, which is a really bad reason, or for those who didn't ask for anything and end up on the hits, it's endless pain.

Is it possible to control access to pornographic sites and ensure that no one under 18 can go there?

T. -

There are solutions, but what could pose a problem is that it means collecting personal data and many users don't want to be identified.

They want to keep some anonymity.

For the big sites concerned like XVideos, it will probably not impact them more than that if their access in France is closed because it is a micromarket for them.

They do not care.

In the United States, there is just a "disclaimer" at the entrance to the site, nothing more.

I think it's good to

“I am in favor of stopping and banning porn in France if there is no creation of agencies”

Laly Vallade

The issue of "Complément d'Enquête" asked this question: will porn soon be banned?

LV –

I am in favor of stopping and banning porn in France if there is no creation of agencies.

Today, the door is open to all excesses, it is not acceptable.

It is up to the government to change the laws to create real protection around this industry.

It is not by writing a charter that you will protect the actors and actresses who want to do this job.

If tomorrow, Dorcel can no longer work in France, he will come to the United States.

Would you agree to participate in the development of this change in France if politicians appealed to you?

LV-

With my knowledge, my experience and my approach to this profession on a daily basis in the United States, I could help ensure that things are better regulated and regulated.

France is starting from afar but the solutions are simple to regulate porn.

It is up to the government to make the right decisions to materialize its desire to protect actresses and actors in the profession.

Otherwise, it will just be noise without purpose.

Condemn a problem without solving the origin of the problem is useless.

I couldn't say no if someone called on me, that would be running away from something that is serious.

I was a police officer, it is part of my values to protect.

I don't want to let girls go through atrocities.

What do you think of the idea of the former actress Liza Del Sierra to set up a charter of ethics?

LV –

It's good but it's useless if there is no organization behind to enforce it.

She is trying to get things moving, but who will ensure that this charter is respected?

This will be based on the good will of each other but that will not prevent abuses.

You have to hit much harder than that.
