The Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Lattakia organized today a number of seizures against violating bakeries, with total fines of 62 million and 464 thousand Syrian pounds.
The Director of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Lattakia, Ahmed Zaher, explained to SANA reporter that the seizures included disposing of the food ration allocations for other than the intended purpose, and trading them on the black market, against Buthaina Bakery and Ammar Saeed Bakery, and seizures of weight loss in bundles of bread sold to citizens against five other bakeries, In addition to controlling a bakery for non-compliance with working hours.
And it organized a catering seizure in violation of fraud and deception against a factory for the manufacture of dairy, cheese and its derivatives. Within the facility, skimmed powder milk and the prohibited substance of soda were seized.
Zaher confirmed that six bags of skimmed powdered milk and a bag of soda were confiscated, and the necessary legal measures were taken.
