A 29-year-old man was killed today (Tuesday) in a car accident in the Lower Galilee, a 25-year-old woman and a 2-year-old baby were slightly injured.
Two vehicles collided on road 784 from Hatton to the Yephthal junction, and the driver of one of the vehicles was trapped in the driver's seat.
MDA medics and paramedics were called to the scene and rescued him lifeless.
A senior MDA medic, Iyad Hibi, defined the car accident as "very serious".
"The 29-year-old was trapped in the driver's seat while he was unconscious and suffering from a severe head injury, we performed medical tests but he had no signs of life and we had no choice but to determine his death," he said.
He noted, "The driver of the second vehicle, a woman about 25 years old and a baby about two years old were treated on the spot and evacuated by MDA ambulance to the Rambam Hospital in Haifa, in a minor condition."
