After a desperate search with dogs and helicopters: Missing 22-year-old found dead in the Naab

The police finally found what they were looking for in the Naab near Penk in the Pettendorf area.

A 22-year-old from Pettendorf has been missing since Saturday (September 17).

The police are searching with helicopters, dogs and boats.

Now there is sad certainty.

Update, October 4, 4:33 p.m .: Pettendorf –

All extensive searches for the 22-year-old were initially unsuccessful.

Investigations in the vicinity of the wanted person did not bring any new information about his whereabouts.

For several days, police helicopters, mantrailing dogs, boats, firefighters, other emergency services and the police were deployed.

Desperate search for missing persons near Regensburg comes to a sad end - police are investigating

Another search by the police took place today, Tuesday, October 4, 2022.

At around 1:30 p.m., emergency services in the Penk area found a dead person in the Naab.

The investigators assume that it is the missing 22-year-old.

There is still no evidence of a criminal offense at this time.

A forensic examination in the next few days should provide information about a possible cause of death.

The investigations are being conducted by the Regensburg Criminal Police Inspectorate.

First hearing, September 22: Pettendorf

- "Since Saturday, September 17, 2022, 5:30 p.m., the 22-year-old Christian Goldhacker from Pettendorf (Regensburg district) has been missing." The police had already been searching intensively for the young man for several days, so far in vain .

"Even investigations in the vicinity of the wanted person did not bring any new information about his whereabouts."

Missing 22-year-old: the police are looking for a photo and a description of the person

Since the previous searches with police helicopters, mantrailing dogs, boats, fire brigade and police forces have been unsuccessful, the Nittendorf police inspection is also publicly looking for the young man.

The police are asking the public for help.
