At Puy du Fou, performing arts at the service of the school for teaching excellence

REPORT - A stone's throw from the famous park, students aged 3 to 16 benefit from an unprecedented program in France.


“Five, six, seven and eight.

In the heart of the Puy du Fou, twelve young people gracefully follow the pas de bourrée and other rounds of legs.

A few meters away, in the theater where the show

Le Dernier Panache is being performed,

eight other apprentice knights practice wooden sword fighting.

They are not professionals, but students of the Puy du Fou Academy.

Located in Les Épesses, 1 kilometer from the famous Vendée theme park, the school, which has been welcoming schoolchildren and college students since 2015 and 2018, opened two second classes for this start of the school year, including 42 students.

These young academicians have opted for an atypical school career.

To their classical courses are added each week five hours of artistic discipline.

Choose from: riding with dressage and vaulting, dance, theater or combat and stunts.

In this off-contract school, the ambition of the director, François Roucher, is to
