Balad filed an appeal to the Supreme Court against her disqualification from running in the Knesset elections
In the appeal submitted through the Adalah Center, it is claimed that the disqualification request that was approved contains "nothing that indicates the actions of the Balad party as establishing grounds for its disqualification"

Today (Tuesday), the Balad party filed an appeal against its disqualification in the election commission to the Supreme Court. In the appeal submitted through the Adalah Center, it is claimed that the request for disqualification "does not indicate, even to a minimal extent, the actions of the Balad party as a basis for its disqualification."
The appeal will be heard in the Supreme Court before a panel of nine judges or a larger odd number, as instructed by Supreme Court President Ester Hayut.
"From the appeal and the attorney's position presented to the election committee, it appears that the disqualification request that was approved lacks actual evidence," the party said.
Last Thursday, the committee disqualified Balad from running for the 25th Knesset by a majority of nine committee members, compared to five opponents.
Alongside this, the committee rejected the two requests submitted to disqualify Ra'am from running for the Knesset
