Biker couple falls on a dirty road - helicopter in use

An injured couple and 3,000 euros in property damage are the balance of an accident on Saturday near Enzelhausen.

An accident occurred during a motorcycle tour on Saturday between Au/Hallertau and Rudelzhausen.

A couple was injured, the B301 blocked.

Enzelhausen

– A motorcycle tour through the Hallertau came to an ominous end on Saturday afternoon: Shortly before Enzelhausen (community of Rudelzhausen), a couple from the Neustadt/Donau area left the B301 federal road and fell into an adjacent field.

The cause of the accident was probably the danger that the police warns about every year around the time of the hop harvest: agricultural pollution on the roads.

Motorcycle accident between Au and Rudelzhausen - couple injured

As reported by the responsible Moosburg police inspection, the biker and his passenger - both 64 years old - were on the main road from Au/Hallertau in the direction of Rudelzhausen at around 3 p.m. when they passed a dirty section of road along hop fields with their BMW machine.

The man apparently lost control of his motorcycle and veered off the road, causing him and his wife to be thrown from the BMW.

The couple ended up injured in a field.

Dirt on the road was the duo's undoing.

Fire and rescue services immediately responded, and an ADAC ambulance helicopter was requested.

According to a report by the Moosburg police, the driver probably broke a wrist in the accident, and his wife had to be flown from the rescue helicopter to an Ingolstadt hospital because of a suspected cervical spine injury and a sprained ankle.

A 19-year-old died in a serious accident in the Nuremberg region.

B301 had to be temporarily closed

The property damage is estimated at around 3000 euros.

The federal road B301 had to be temporarily closed to traffic.

The volunteer fire brigades from Au/Hallertau and Enzelhausen, among others, were deployed.
