It is a highly flammable subject that is coming back to the table.
Meeting on Tuesday evening to examine the 2023 budget, the deputies of the finance committee were to discover the results of the flash mission on the exceptional superprofits reaped during the crisis by oil, gas and maritime transport companies.
These results, which are based in particular on hearings of the bosses of the sector in committee, do not actually change much on the merits.
Unsurprisingly, the two rapporteurs, Manuel Bompard, LFI deputy, and David Amiel, Renaissance deputy, remain divided on this thorny issue;
and this mission enables them to defend the line of their respective movements.
Moreover, the left did not wait for these conclusions to file several amendments on the subject – and even a bill.
