The fifteen-year-old high school student who injured a teacher in the throat with a knife in an establishment in Caen was referred on September 28 and indicted, the Caen prosecutor's office announced on Tuesday.

the question of the reasons for this acting out remains unresolved at this stage of the investigation
”.
Judicial information had been opened for “attempted assassination” following this attack which took place on September 13 at Malherbe high school, an establishment deemed calm, near the city center.
According to the academy, the 63-year-old victim was released from hospital "
a few days
" after the attack, but is "
not ready to return to work
".
A high school student who witnessed the scene told AFP that the attacker had injured the teacher in the throat before running back down a hallway to come back to her, trying to hurt her again.
The teacher and the student then “
struggled
” until sirens sounded and scared the aggressor away, who was then quickly arrested, according to the teenager.
After this attack, the Minister of National Education Pap Ndiaye went to this establishment on September 23 during a visit behind closed doors.
