The Katholisches Bildungswerk (KBW) Erding is moving into the future with good numbers and a lot of energy.

There was news from the Bildungswerk recently at the well-attended general meeting of KBW and Zentrum der Familie (ZdF), which took place in the parish home Bockhorn.

The spiritual impetus for the Gospel of the Day came from District Dean Michael Bayer.

According to the press release, he emphasized that only the fire within oneself can stoke others.

That's how it is in our educational work: It's about kindling the fire and letting it spread to the next person.

After a brief look back at the 50-year celebrations with the anniversary magazine this summer, Carina Dollberger, educational consultant at the KBW, spoke about her program areas for senior citizen education, art and culture, health and her “Light Language” project.

This project aims to make it easier for people with reading difficulties to find their way to the written word, be it in everyday official life or in their leisure hours of reading.

The theological consultant of the KBW, Nikolaus Hintermaier, reported on the area of ​​religious education.

The extensive pilgrimage program stands out, which is regularly accepted and is celebrating its eleventh anniversary this year.

Christiane Maasberg, pedagogical consultant at the center of the family, presented the family education in all its facets to those present, from the online lecture to the weekly parent-child groups (EKP), which take place in almost all communities in the district.

With the childminder training and the training for assistants in daycare centers, which are coordinated and led by Monika Kneißl, KBW and ZdF Erding have further attractive professional training offers.

According to the press release, the good educational work is also reflected in the budget figures for 2021.

"Although the budget volume was smaller overall due to the corona pandemic in 2021 because fewer events could take place, the figures are balanced overall, so that there is a slight surplus of 647.94 euros," it says.

The 2022 budget does not look bad either, as Managing Director Hans Otto Seitschek explained, even if some grants are still outstanding.

The budget for 2021 and the approach for 2022 were both approved unanimously, and the board of directors was also unanimously discharged.

In this way, the KBW with its family center can go into the autumn with some stability, "if not rising energy costs or new pandemic-related restrictions put an undue burden on the balance sheet".

The year 2022 also brought personnel changes: Marlene Bauer-Wimmer and Andrea Rainer ended their jobs at KBW and ZdF Erding after many years of loyal service.

The successor arrangements are already on the way.

The chairmen, Walter Müller and Karin Brielmair, were satisfied with the general meeting, at the end of which many of those present took the opportunity to chat with the speakers.
