France has largely benefited from the European windfall, resulting from the July 2020 agreement since its recovery plan of 100 billion euros is 40% financed by Brussels.
Specifically, 39.4 billion euros, entirely in the form of subsidies, were earmarked for Paris.
Like the other states, France first received 13% of the total allocation, or 5.1 billion euros in August 2021, a month after its copy was validated by the European authorities.
A second check for 7.4 billion was then sent in November.
By the end of the year, a transfer of 12.5 billion should still arrive on the Treasury account.
The schedule established with Brussels then provides for three more meetings.
In 2023, 2024, then 2025, transfers of approximately 7, 3 and 4 billion are respectively expected.
In exchange for this funding, Paris has committed to 175 measures and a specific implementation schedule.
