Just quickly smoke a cigarette, then it should go on.

A 34-year-old father's plan went horribly wrong.

His daughter drove on unaccompanied.

Hamelin/Munich - Because her dad didn't finish his smoking break on the platform in time, a four-year-old had to continue alone on an S-Bahn on Saturday (October 1).

Last but not least, the luggage caused a stir.

Smoking break lasts too long: four-year-olds continue to take the S-Bahn unaccompanied

The 34-year-old just wanted to smoke a cigarette at the train station in Hamelin, Lower Saxony, and got off the S5 to Hanover, according to the federal police in a press release on Monday.

When the man wanted to get back in, it was too late.

The doors were already closed - and his little daughter drove on alone with her luggage in the direction of Hanover.

A train attendant finally discovered the four-year-old girl and informed the federal police.

The officers took the child into their care.

Looking for a clue to the parents' address in the luggage, officers discovered amphetamines and drugs containing narcotics.

Drugs in the luggage: the 34-year-old was already known to the police

The Federal Police prohibited the joint onward journey.

Instead, the girl's mother was informed in Paderborn.

The 34-year-old is already known to the police for violating the Narcotics Act, it said.

In Hanover, the federal police secured the substances.

In Munich, however, four people were injured.

A man had stolen an ambulance.

The police blocked Leopoldstrasse.
