First it gets loud, then quieter: the Forstinning through road is being renovated

The eastern part of the Forstinning through road will be closed for several weeks from October 10th.

The section is being completely renovated and given a whisper covering.

Forstinning – As of next week, the eastern part of Forstinning's through road will be completely closed.

As reported by the Rosenheim State Building Authority, the entire through road (district road EBE5) will be renovated.

Two construction phases are planned for this, the first of which is now being carried out.

Mühldorfer Straße will be renewed over a length of 1.7 kilometers between the junction with Moosstraße and the federal highway 12.

According to the State Building Authority, this section of the through road will be completely closed from Monday, October 10th, until probably Friday, November 18th.

The official detour takes place over a wide area via state roads 2086 and 2080 through the Ebersberger Forest (via Ebersberg).

"The traffic routing was coordinated in cooperation with the district of Ebersberg, the police and other municipal authorities," says the press release from the Rosenheim State Building Authority.

The authority explains the rehabilitation measure as follows: The roadway is first completely milled out, then a new binder course and a noise-reducing asphalt surface course are installed.

At the same time, the drainage channels will also be renewed, the State Building Authority has announced.

According to the authorities, the second phase of construction in the western part will take place in 2024 at the earliest, "since extensive divisional work is also taking place at the same time, which requires a longer preparation time," says the press release.

The district of Ebersberg, which is responsible for district roads, bears the costs for the renovation.

According to the district office, this invests around 773,000 euros in the maintenance of the district road EBE5.
