Florian Silbereisen suffers from extreme stage fright during hit shows: "Almost in a trance"

Florian Silbereisen has been leading the "Die Feste" hit shows since 2004.

But although the 41-year-old has now moderated almost 100 programs, routine is out of the question: he is still plagued by "extreme" stage fright before the programs.

Leipzig – Florian Silbereisen (41) is actually an integral part of the Schlager world: In 2004, at the age of just 22, the folk musician, born in Tiefenbach in Lower Bavaria, took over the "Die Feste" shows from industry veteran Carmen Nebel (66).

But even a seasoned superstar is very human here and there: As the 41-year-old revealed on "Riverboat" on MDR, he still struggles with stage fright despite years of routine.

Florian Silbereisen, who is now one of the biggest German pop stars of all time, presented himself quite naturally in the MDR talk show, which was also attended by moderator Gülcan Kamps (40) and comedian Oliver Kalkofe (57), and gave the "Riverboat" -Duo Kim Fisher (53) and Jörg Kachelmann (64) happy to answer their questions.

Florian Silbereisen revealed that he usually sleeps before his hit shows, while his team, in which he has full confidence, regulates everything important.

But as soon as he wakes up around 7 p.m., “the nervousness increases brutally,” says the hit star:

Stage fright or not - Florian Silbereisen doesn't want to do without a fixed ritual before his hit shows: "I'll go into myself again shortly before the show.

Before I go on stage, I say a prayer.

And then I have my ritual: Then I cross myself and then I spit on the floor twice again: Toi, toi, toi,” said the 41-year-old on “Riverboat”.

Florian Silbereisen does not seem to be alone with his problem: "You hear it quite often," assured "Riverboat" presenter Kim Fisher to the 41-year-old, who also explained that the problem only increased with age: "It's with me It's extremely extreme – always has been!” The pop singer then revealed.

The folk musician will certainly remain true to the moderation, after all he will soon be celebrating a big milestone – for which, however, a long-awaited show is completely canceled: Instead of the “Schlagerbooom”, Florian Silbereisen is celebrating his 100th “Die Feste” show anniversary.
