Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko announced that Poland and Lithuania are massing military forces near the Belarusian border.
Russia Today website quoted Lukashenko as saying today at a meeting on military security issues: Poland is the most active, a new mechanized division is being formed in the south of the Belarusian direction, and personnel brigades are being created for Poland's territorial defense in the north and east of the country.
Lukashenko added: Operational and combat exercises are actively being carried out, including with the participation of a training ground in Lithuania, which is located only 15 kilometers from the Belarus border.
Lukashenko explained that under the "cover of Kyiv's support", several European countries are implementing their plans to rearm with modern weapons and equipment to strengthen their armies, revealing that there is a NATO gathering of nearly 25,000 soldiers in the countries neighboring Belarus.
And Belarusian Defense Minister Viktor Khrinin announced earlier today that there is tangible evidence that NATO countries are preparing their infrastructure and forces for war, noting that his country cannot ignore the militarization of its western neighbors, and is working to put in place deterrence measures.
