Today, in Deir Ezzor Governorate, the process of marketing cotton began for the current agricultural season.

The director of the Deir ez-Zor gin, Engineer Hani Al-Mofdi, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the gin began receiving the beloved cottons from the farmers’ fields, and weighing them in the gins, after placing them in trucks designated by the General Organization for Cotton Ginning and Marketing, to be transported from Deir ez-Zor to the gins of Homs and Hama. Al-Mofdi pointed out that cooperation exists between all parties, including the General Organization for Cotton Ginning and Marketing, the Deir ez-Zor Farmers Union, the Agricultural Bank, agricultural associations, and farmers, to facilitate the marketing process.

The head of the Farmers’ Union in Deir ez-Zor Khazan al-Sahw confirmed that farmers continue the process of picking their cotton crop, to market it under the supervision of agricultural agricultural associations that work to facilitate the marketing process, noting that the price set by the government for the cotton crop this year is a rewarding price, and takes into account production costs, with a profit margin. Good for the farmer.
