Motorbike group on the road in Lower Bavaria: Biker crashes into BMW and dies – friends have to see it

Another was seriously injured.

A biker tour in Lower Bavaria ended tragically on Monday afternoon.

Two motorcyclists fell badly.

One of them lost his life on the spot.

Geiselhöring – On Monday afternoon, a serious traffic accident occurred not far from Geiselhöring (Straubing-Bogen district).

A group of motorcyclists were out on a trip when one of them swerved into oncoming traffic and collided with a BMW.

He was injured so badly that he died at the scene of the accident.

His friends had to see everything.

At around 5 p.m., the six bikers were on their way from Hardt on State Road 2111 in the direction of Grissing.

At the level of Geiselhöring, the group drove through a forest.

After leaving the forest passage behind them, they turned into a right-hand bend.

Here a 65-year-old lost control of his motorcycle and got into the oncoming lane.

A 63-year-old man came towards him in his BMW.

There was a collision.

When the biker collided with the BMW, a 66-year-old from the group of bikers could not avoid it in time and collided with the crashed machine, according to the police press release.

The 65-year-old motorcyclist suffered such serious injuries in the collision that he died on the spot.

His friend, the 66-year-old, was seriously injured.

A rescue helicopter had to take him to a hospital for further care.

Fatal accident in Lower Bavaria: The BMW occupants get away with minor injuries

In addition to the 63-year-old, there was a 37-year-old passenger in the BMW.

Both suffered minor injuries in the accident, police said.

They were also taken to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

The highway was closed in both directions while the accident was being recorded.

An expert - commissioned by the public prosecutor's office - came to the scene of the accident to examine the course of the accident more closely.
