Stadtwerke Dachau is celebrating its 125th anniversary.

On Sunday, October 9th, there is a municipal utility day.

Dachau - A performance show for all aspects of supply and a festival for the whole family: On the occasion of their 125th anniversary, Stadtwerke Dachau invites you to an open day with a large anniversary program next Sunday, October 9th.

From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., visitors can experience technology up close, meet employees and be surprised by a varied program.

How does a hydroelectric power plant work, where does our drinking water actually come from and what happens to the dirty water after it has ended up in the drain?

Visitors to Stadtwerke Day will get answers to these and many other questions on guided tours through the technical systems.

The following can be visited: the hydroelectric power plant Am Alten Wehr in Dachau, the water extraction plant in Feldgeding, the construction site for the new indoor swimming pool, the sewage treatment plant on Alte Römerstraße and the transport company with its bus fleet in Dachau Ost.

The workshops for electricity, natural gas and water supply in Brunngartenstraße also open their doors.

In addition, the Stadtwerke-Tag attracts visitors with other activities related to energy supply as well as games and fun for young and old.

A varied stage program with live music provides entertainment in the courtyards of the company headquarters on Brunngartenstrasse.

Also present: the boys' band Dachau, the Rienstal Musi, Orange Fizz and the big band Dachau.

An extensive children's program with a play mobile, skill course and other hands-on activities as well as a colorful range of gastronomic regional delicacies round off the Stadtwerke day.

And of course there is also something to win - the wheel of fortune turns for the visitors!

The starting point for all activities is the company headquarters at Brunngartenstraße 3 in Dachau.

A free shuttle bus line runs from the Dachau train station every 20 minutes from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. to the Festwiese stop and back.

Please note: There are only limited parking spaces available on Brunngartenstraße, no parking facilities can be offered on the Stadtwerke site.
