Why do we accuse Washington?
The bombing, which was confirmed to be an act of sabotage, came after previous statements by US President Joe Biden in which he announced his desire to “get rid” of the Nord Stream gas pipeline that supplies Europe with Russian gas, as Biden said in a widely published statement weeks before the Russian special operation in Ukraine, It's "there will be no Nord Stream 2, we'll put an end to it, I promise we can do it."
Is there evidence stronger than acknowledgment of intentions?
The words of the American president cannot be considered mere “fakes.” Rather, it is a statement that expresses an American strategy that began to become clear with the beginning of the Russian-Western war in Ukraine, especially with Washington’s frantic attempts to stifle Russia economically by imposing sanctions on Russian energy sources, which constitute an important source of revenue. For Moscow, the statement cannot be considered separate from the instructions issued by the US administration to the European continent to adapt to the situation of “Russian gas no longer”, despite the continent’s dependence on Russia for 40 percent of its energy needs.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman, Maria Zakharova, directed the direct accusation of President Biden, who threatened to blow up the line, as did some American media, including Fox News, which explicitly indicated the possibility of the Biden administration's involvement in the Nord Stream bombing after the president publicly expressed his desire to get rid of the tube.
The other evidence that Washington is behind the operation is its haste to blame Moscow, the first victim of the bombing, in an attempt by the US administration to circulate its story through the international media outlets it controls with the aim of losing the features of the true story.
This is what happened as the Western media began addressing the issue on the basis of an exchange of accusations between Russia and Western countries of being behind the bombings, instead of the accusation finger being directed at Washington only.
In the base of the beneficiary and the loser of the operation, Moscow is considered the first victim of the suspension of gas supplies as revenues, followed by Europe, which lost the most important sources of cheap energy that are compatible with its infrastructure, which will deepen its energy crisis and force it to search for other energy sources whose shipping costs and harmonization with its systems increase and its infrastructure.
On the other hand, tracing the beneficiary’s trail leads to nowhere but to Washington, the main suspect in this bombing operation. It is unreasonable for Russia to help NATO to stifle it economically, which has maintained gas supplies to Europe as one of the most important sources of cutting revenues for Moscow, despite its move to diversify its markets. Exporting gas and increasing pumping towards Asian markets, especially China and India, after the Western economic war against it.
The bomber aims to bring the pipelines out of service all at once and for an indefinite period, and this means that Europe must think about how it will spend the winter without Russian gas and look for an alternative, which will only be in the United States, which has more than once announced its willingness to compensate Europe for gas Russian but at higher prices.
