Update from October 3, 6:49 p.m .:
The Aicher outpatient clinic had to treat two extraordinary patients on the last day of the Oktoberfest.
A 29-year-old woman who had swallowed a whole chicken wing at once was brought to the Wiesn station.
Almost at the same time, a 35-year-old was admitted who had swallowed a lighter.
Both were then taken to a hospital.
There, the chicken wing and the lighter were removed endoscopically.
The two swallowing woodpeckers probably didn't notice much of the operation, because they reached the rescue station drunk, said the Aich ambulance.

.: A Wiesn operation got under the skin of the police and medical service employees in particular.
As it became known at the press conference on Monday, police officers reacted quickly when a 58-year-old collapsed in Wirtsbudenstrasse on Saturday night due to cardiovascular failure.

The officials immediately resuscitated the employees of a marquee.
After a short time, a weak pulse could be felt again.
Together with helpers from the Wiesn rescue service who had meanwhile rushed to the scene, the man was resuscitated and finally taken to a Munich hospital.

.: “The Wiesn is back,” emphasizes Wiesn boss Clemens Baumgärtner right at the beginning of the press conference on the Oktoberfest balance sheet 2022. 5.7 million guests were at the Wiesn this year (for comparison: 2019 came 6.3 million).
"There were an incredible number of Munich residents," emphasizes the Wiesn boss.
Evaluations of mobile phone data would have shown that.
"We are glad that we were able to hold a Oktoberfest in 2022."
The weather was bad, there were discussions about Corona and energy consumption.
The beer gardens were poorly attended and Baumgärtner didn't even want to sugarcoat the showmen's balance sheet.
Even the street vending didn't bring what it was supposed to bring.
This would be readjusted next year.

Baumgärtner answered questions such as "How much beer was drunk?": It was 5.6 million liters.
As expected, less than in 2019. But the beer mug as a souvenir was much more popular than in 2019. 112,000 beer mugs were taken from Wiesn visitors (2019: 96,000 beer mugs).

On Saturday afternoon, two 30-year-olds were out and about at the Wiesn.
A 40-year-old man from Italy was sitting at the table next to her in the marquee.
He filmed both women with his cell phone under the dirndl skirt.
Security personnel responded;
he was temporarily arrested by the police and released after paying bail.
Unfortunately not the only peeping-on attack at the weekend: Also on Saturday, albeit at a much later hour, a 26-year-old from Italy was observed by a Munich police task force filming a 28-year-old from Switzerland under the dirndl.
He was also temporarily arrested.

Oktoberfest visitor balance: bad weather slows down Wiesn visitors in 2022
The expectations for the Oktoberfest 2022 after a two-year Corona break were high.
In the years 2020 and 2021 the Wiesn was canceled due to Corona.
An absolute novelty in the 200-year history.
Only in times of war were there longer breaks.
The bar for the number of Oktoberfest visitors is high: 6.3 million guests came in 2019.
But the two Oktoberfest weeks were quite rainy.
Because of the bad weather, mulled wine was served at the ice cream stand in the second week of the Oktoberfest.
Mandl and bratwurst were already the "warming" hits in the first week of the Wiesn, the festival management announced in the half-time report.
The voluntary waiver of heating in the beer gardens previously caused problems for the restaurateurs as well as the showmen and market traders, it was said.
Not only the waiters in the beer gardens suffered from the cool weather, but also the stands, which are positioned in the side streets adjacent to the beer gardens.
