The Oktoberfest can take place without Corona requirements.

The incidences are now increasing significantly in Bavaria.

Oktoberfest waitresses report on sick employees in the festival tents.

Munich – The Oktoberfest 2022 is coming to an end.

On October 3rd, there will be celebrations in the Oktoberfest marquees for the last time this year.

The fewer days there are at Oktoberfest, the higher the official incidence.

It is now heading towards the 1000 mark in Munich.

The number of unreported cases is likely to be much higher.

A connection to the Oktoberfest cannot be proven, but it is obvious.

Folk festivals in Dachau and Straubing showed similar tendencies.

Now Wiesn waiters are reporting on TikTok about sick waiters and that they continue to work despite a fever.

Sick Oktoberfest waitress talks about working in tents – “Made it through to the end despite the fever”

"For me, today is officially the worst day of the festival.

I even had a fever today," reports a Wiesn waiter on TikTok on day 15. Since tapping, she has been taking her followers to the marquee every day and telling them about the shifts.

At the end of day 15, the conclusion is: "I made it to the end despite the fever."

"I think it's so funny because every waitress is sick, but we don't have to test ourselves and anyone who doesn't test himself isn't positive either.

It's very clear," she had told her followers a few hours earlier with an ironic undertone.

Another waitress also reports cold symptoms on day 14.

Given this year's dreary Wiesn weather, that's probably not surprising.

"I was already in the pharmacy and almost bought it empty," she says in the video.

Many visitors visit the tents every year.

Despite the fever, the Wiens waiter works in the tent: the reactions vary

The reactions of the followers are both positive and negative.

"It's not like you spread the germs nicely..." and "How Wiesn waitresses celebrate themselves on TikTok because they stuck it out until the end of the day despite the fever", are the negative comments on Twitter and TikTok.

"If tested, the hosts could close," commented another user.

"What you do is awesome.

Great

respect”, the work in the festival tents is praised.

When it comes to Corona, some note that many people who visit the Wiesn are infected - unconsciously or consciously.

“I know that waitresses sometimes test themselves or come out positive.

That's just the way it is," writes one user.

This cannot be checked at this point.

Wiesn service as a backbreaking job: 17 days without a break – waiters report “Wiesn fever”

Even without Corona, the Oktoberfest waiter's job is a tough job.

16 or like this year 17 days without a break in the tent: that can be exhausting.

In 2016, an Oktoberfest waitress told

tz

: "Last year I couldn't even turn over in bed myself for days, everything hurt so much!

The weeks leading up to the Wiesn therefore consist mainly of stocking up on medication, nutritious muesli, drinks, bandages, fruit and vitamins.”

And as an Oktoberfest waitress, you also have to “take good care of yourself.” “That’s why many of us wear neckerchiefs and scarves to support our voices, which are strained from screaming, and jackets so that we don’t freeze.

Some also wear headbands or hats so they don't get sick," says Sabine Player, a Oktoberfest waitress at

"Many overestimate themselves and are then ill from the second day." Incidentally, Oktoberfest service staff are not paid an hourly wage.

Despite the backbreaking work, it seems to be a job close to the heart for many.

Once you have immersed yourself in the Oktoberfest, a certain "Wiesn fever" sets in, reports a service worker at the

.

"Then you want to do it again and again!" The Oktoberfest fever had probably also grabbed a few patients at the Oktoberfest medical station - they celebrated to Bella Ciao.
