A serious traffic accident occurred early on Saturday morning on the A9 motorway near Eching: a truck crashed into a truck from the motorway maintenance department.

– A truck driver probably overlooked the closure of a night construction site on the A 9 motorway near Eching on Saturday morning around 5.30 a.m. – and then crashed into the truck of the motorway maintenance department.
"Miraculously, no construction worker was injured, and the driver of the accident vehicle also came to a nearby hospital with minor injuries," said the Freising District Fire Inspectorate.

The fire brigades from Dietersheim, Garching and Hochbrück as well as the district fire inspections of Freising and Munich Land were in action.
Due to the complex rescue and clean-up work, the motorway had to be closed until mid-morning.
Inconsiderate onlookers also made the work of the helpers more difficult.
