Occupied Jerusalem-SANA
The Palestinian Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Commission warned of the deterioration of the health status of four prisoners in the Israeli occupation detention centers, as a result of the policy of deliberate medical negligence and the delay in providing treatment, especially for those who suffer from difficult health problems and those with chronic diseases, amid tragic conditions of detention.
The authority stated, according to what was reported by Wafa Agency today, that the prisoner, Asef Al-Rifai, 20 years old, from Ramallah, suffers from colon and gland cancer, and was injured three times by the occupation forces and repeatedly arrested since he was a child, and he is in dire need of treatment and urgent health care.
The commission drew attention to the deterioration of the health condition of the prisoner, Bilal Abu Ghanem, 29, from the town of Jabal al-Mukabber in occupied Jerusalem. He is in Raymond detention center, where he suffers from severe pain in his back as a result of violent beatings during his arrest in 2015 and the effects of two bullet wounds, one in the leg and the other in the chest. Recently, he became completely numb in his body.
The commission pointed out that the prisoner, Essam Zain Al-Din, 38, from Nablus, in Nafha detention center, suffered from a large spread of blisters in his body, and unbearable itching and pain, while the prisoner Mansour Al-Khatib from the city of Qalqilya suffers from severe bleeding due to hemorrhoids and needs an urgent operation for him.
