Russia's Zvezda Corporation has announced that it is working on a project to develop new uniforms that will be used in distant space flights and future trips to the moon.
And the website of Russia Today channel quoted the director of the foundation, Sergei Pozdnyakov, as saying in a statement: “Our institution has completed the first stage of work on a project to develop space suits that will be used in the future on the moon. With whom we work under official contracts, he explained
that the initial concepts and principles for the development of this type of space suit have been developed.
Pozdnyakov added: We started with the second phase of the project, which is to develop a scheme in which some elements of these uniforms can be made, and the main task for us will be that the maintenance of the uniform is simple and easy, and that its life support systems are made up of units that are easy to replace.
Pozdnyakov pointed out that the complicated thing in the development of this type of space suit is that the suit must be resistant to the pressure that it will be exposed to in the required form and that the wearer will be able to move inside it comfortably, noting that the specialists in the institution have worked on developing special techniques that will be used in covers The structures of these uniforms are where these techniques have shown promising results.
