Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu announced that the number of people who joined the Russian armed forces under the partial mobilization decision exceeded two hundred thousand people.
Russia Today website quoted Shoigu as saying today that the summoned military personnel will be sent to the areas of the special military operation after combat coordination, training and planning with the participating units there.
Shoigu demanded that the commanders of the Military Districts and the Northern Fleet conduct additional training with conscripts under the guidance of officers with combat experience, in order to quickly adapt them to the combat situation.
Minister Shoigu also instructed the Main Directorate of Monitoring and Supervision Activities of the Russian Armed Forces to manage the procedures for partial mobilization.
Last month, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the partial mobilization of the Russian Federation to support the special military operation in the Donbass.
