The activities of the Omar Abu Risha Festival kick off with literary studies of the works of the poet Mustafa Badawi

Literary studies that shed light on the works of the poet Mustafa Badawi. They are considered the most important presentations of the writers participating in the launch of the activities of the Omar Abu Risha Festival “Mostafa Badawi Course” this evening, which is being held by the Directorate of Culture in Aleppo on the Aziziyah Cultural Theatre.

Jaber al-Sajour, director of culture in Aleppo, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the festival aims to shed light on literary figures from Aleppo, who left an imprint in their names, and in honor of the poet, his entire literary works will be collected and reprinted, so that the young generation interested in the literary and cultural movement can

see it.

During the festival, Farouk Aslam, a member of the Executive Office of the Arab Writers Union in Syria, presented a comprehensive study of Badawi’s poetry, “The Tired Face of Mirrors,” noting that the Diwan is governed by the focus of concern about the pain of the nation and people. And the picture is beautiful.

In turn, the writer Fayez Al-Daya spoke about the poet's professional life and the musical expression in his poetry, explaining that he was a distinguished poet, who left life more than 30 years ago, and has four collections, in which there is a development in music and semantics, and has diverse cultural horizons, in addition to being a rare self-made personality. He worked in the blacksmith profession, did not study in school, and was educated, and his poetry was not traditional, but rather innovative, bearing suggestive expressive connotations.

In her testimony, the writer Mona Badawy reviewed her father's human merits, stressing that he was a model for the loving and affectionate head of the family, who does not save time but takes care of his children and family despite his many preoccupations.

The translator, Muhammad Al-Abdullah, who presented a study on the affiliation in the personality of the poet Badawi and his many relationships with literary, cultural and local personalities, indicated that the poet was distinguished by humor and creative ability, and he is considered one of the first to write free poetry “the activation”, even before the poet Badr Shaker Al-Sayyab.
