The Russian Federation Council unanimously approved the ratification of the agreements on the accession of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions to Russia.

Lavrov pointed out that the Kyiv authorities violated all international laws and for years attacked the people of the Donbass region and did not abide by the Minsk agreements, indicating that they, with the support of the West, were no longer embarrassed by neo-Nazis, and called for the killing of Russians all over the world, so Russia could not However, to extend a helping hand to the peoples of Donbass, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions against the inhumane Ukrainian regime.
Lavrov indicated that the vote of the peoples of those regions in favor of joining Russia was only a logical response to the actions of Nazi Ukraine and an achievement of the peoples' will to return to their historical homelands, stressing that Moscow is not interested in the West's recognition of the results of the referendum, but it must understand the new reality.
Last Friday, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed treaties with the rulers of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics and the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions on their acceptance to join Russia following the results of the referendums held there.
Yesterday, the State Duma Committee on State Structure and Government Legislation approved draft constitutional laws to accept accession.
