There won't be all sizes of sweaters or pants in the Jules store near you because of… a hacker from the other side of the world.

The ready-to-wear company and its little sister BZB were hit last week by a major cyberattack that crippled their IT systems and hit servers.

The Jules brand with 460 stores evokes “a gradual resumption of logistics and extended delivery times” as it heals its wounds.

A criminal intrusion into its information systems led it to take much of the order processing and e-commerce management software offline.

The difficulties of access to the merchant sites of these brands since last Thursday foreshadowed the worst for this company owned by the northern group Fashion Cube.

The attacker or attackers had access to servers but “no bank data was exfiltrated and there was no ransom demand”, we are assured at Jules.

The management of the group prefers not to go too much into the technical details of this computer attack.

The modus operandi and the consequences of the cyberattack for the data stored on the servers point to a ransomware attack.

A complaint was filed with the gendarmerie and the Cnil was notified, as is now the legal procedure in the event of an attack with data extraction.

Placed in compulsory liquidation recently, the Camaïeu brand had also been the target of a computer attack which had plagued its activity.

Damart had also been the victim of a powerful ransomware at the end of August.

The loss of turnover of French companies victims of these cybercriminals has been estimated since the beginning of the year at 1.06 billion euros, according to the cybersecurity company ANOZR WAY.
