“There are only two items that are falling, the funds intended for the unemployed, because there are fewer of them, and those covering the deficits of local administrations”
, summarized the Spanish Minister of Finance, Maria Jesus Montero, by presenting the draft budget approved this Tuesday in the Council of Ministers.
All other positions increase.
Enough to deal with an inflation not seen for thirty-seven years and to finance what the government calls
"the highest social expenditure in history"
.
The executive calculates that
“six out of ten euros will be spent on social spending”
.
Concretely, the ministries which will see their envelopes be the most increased are those of social rights (+18%) and equality (+14%).
But one of the items that monopolize the most expenditure is that of pensions, with 190 billion budgeted.
The increase in pensions will be calculated in November and should approach 8.5%, according to its indexation on the price index fixed by law…
