Under the direction of President Lieutenant General Bashar al-Assad, Commander-in-Chief of the Army and Armed Forces, and based on the combat training plans of our armed forces for this year, one of our combat formations implemented an operational tactical project with live ammunition over several days, in which various types of ground and air forces participated, in conditions that mimic the nature of the battle The real issue, where the project manager gave a detailed explanation of the idea of the battle, and the stages of its implementation, including the attack from the movement on the enemy positions and fortifications.
The project began with a compound fire effect with a spread of fire from artillery forces, rocket launchers, and mortars on live forces and hostile fire media, followed by intense fire preparation and operational surface-to-surface missile strikes, and air strikes in which warplanes, fire support helicopters, and concentration shooters advanced with various fire media. Engineering and opening gaps in minefields and hostile engineering barriers, tanks and infantry units rushed under heavy fire coverage from various media and were able to destroy the hostile first lines, carry out airdrops behind enemy lines under heavy fire coverage, and encircle his points of support, forcing him to plunge his second lines and precautions into depth, and a supposed counterattack, where our forces confronted him through intense firing, missile and air strikes that forced him to retreat and withdraw.
Then our forces advanced the offensive, by engaging the second lines in the battle, achieving the task assigned to the formation with complete success.
In conclusion, General Abdel Karim Mahmoud Ibrahim, Chief of the General Staff, evaluated all phases of the project, provided the participating field commanders with his directives, and praised their efforts and the efforts of all fighters who participated in the project, stressing the importance of the training process in refining the skills and experiences that our valiant army gained during more than one year. For ten years in the face of terrorism and its supporters, it has become more experienced in fighting various types of battles, and in various circumstances.
General Ibrahim stressed the importance of maintaining the combat readiness that would enable our valiant armed forces to carry out their sacred national tasks in protecting the homeland, preserving the dignity of its people, and achieving the final and complete victory under the leadership of the symbol of our pride and the title of our pride, President General Bashar al-Assad.
The project was attended by General Alexander Chaiko, commander of the Russian forces operating in Syria, and a number of senior officers of the General Command of the Army and Armed Forces.
