The young plastic artist Dareen Al-Bargaq from the countryside of Jableh in Lattakia was able to develop her artistic experience to simulate, through her pen and pencil, the magic of nature that grew up in its shadow, and from which she produces paintings that reflect the most beautiful images and landscapes.
During her speech to the SANA Newsletter, Dareen mentioned that her love for drawing accompanied her since childhood with great support from her family members and friends, and her village of Botrah in the Al-Basha orchard in the Jableh countryside had a great influence on her drawings. Green is the primary color of nature.
On how to choose the subjects for her paintings, she said: Her subjects reflect her personality in the first place, as she is a quiet and shy personality, but she loves adventure sometimes, and she is also interested in drawing the details of people's facial expressions between sadness and joy.
Dareen added: She learned to draw academically with the plastic artist Hossam Abu Assi, who refined her talent and contributed to illuminating her art through her participation in the exhibition held under his supervision entitled (Creators with Love) at the Arab Cultural Center in the city of Jableh with three oil paintings of multiple sizes, the subjects of which are about nature and seven paintings. Portrait of international characters, and two paintings of two girls in wood, lead and charcoal techniques.
Dareen, who holds a BA in English literature from Tishreen University, considered that her participation in the exhibition increased her experience by identifying and learning about the style of others in drawing, and opened up great prospects for her to develop her artistic skills and choose the subjects for her paintings.
