The "rim killer" on Tölzer Hospital Street has been defused.
At least there was an attempt.
A tree should now draw attention to the danger point.
Bad Tölz - Achim Rücker recently described a job in Tölz Hospital Street as a "tyre and wheel rim killer".
Specifically, it was about narrowing the lane in the form of a corner with a curb protruding into the street.
However, this "traffic obstacle" is so poorly visible that it represents a real hazard, says Rücker
The shadows cast at lunchtime are particularly problematic
The Tölzer demolished the right front tire and the rim when he "went over it at 25 kilometers per hour".
Numerous other road users have already experienced the same thing as him.
Rücker also sees cyclists as endangered by the poorly visible corner protruding into the roadway.
According to the Tölzer, the spot is particularly problematic when a maple tree casts shadows on it at midday.

The city promised a remedy - and has now made its announcement come true.
She planted a tree in the area of the bulge to better mark the spot.
Whether Rücker is happy with that remains to be seen.
Rather, the 2nd district chairman of the Bund Naturschutz had wished for a “firmly anchored warning beacon” at the site.
