Ibrahim Al-Sarem, director of the Al-Waleed gin in Homs, revealed that the gin is technically ready to receive the current cotton season, which will be marketed next week, with a ginning capacity of about 100 tons per day.
In a statement to SANA reporter, Al-Sarem indicated that the electrical and mechanical maintenance of the ginning lines in the two ginning halls was completed, relying on the expertise of the cadres of our private technical workshops.
Al-Sarem said: We worked to overcome the difficulties encountered in the ginning process in the previous season, as the daily labor was secured in cooperation with the union of pregnancy and porter workers, by contracting to employ about 30 workers, during the current season.
It is noteworthy that the Al-Waleed gin in Homs received about 570 tons of Deir ez-Zor cotton last season.
