With the aim of attracting young people to restructure and build society intellectually and culturally after the years of war on Syria, a ceremony was held today at the National Library in Aleppo, to announce the Al-Mutanabi Association for Culture and Arts.

The ceremony included poetic, musical and lyrical performances, and an exhibition of plastic arts that included 30 paintings, with the participation of 16 male and female artists, through which they embodied various topics in content and style.

The ceremony, which was organized by the governorate of Aleppo, included a number of heritage pilgrims and muwashshahs by the House of Arts for Heritage Troupe, in addition to honoring a number of important intellectual and cultural figures in the city of Aleppo.

The director of the National Book House in Aleppo, Muhammad Hijazi, indicated in a statement to SANA reporter the importance of adding to the cultural movement the birth of a new cultural association, which indicates the cultural renaissance in the city.

The head of the Al-Mutanabi Association for Culture and Arts, Saeed Kharrat, indicated that the association aims to attract young people to restructure and build society intellectually and culturally after the years of the war on Syria, because culture is the supreme need of peoples and the language of civilization.

Among the intellectual, cultural and scientific personalities who were honored during the ceremony was writer Mustafa Sukkari, a former parliament member.

Dr. Mustafa Afiouni, former president of Aleppo University, pointed out that we need such cultural and scientific events, explaining that honoring is a positive phenomenon to appreciate people who carry out their research, scientific and intellectual work.

Among the participants in the plastic exhibition, which included 30 paintings, artist Khaldoun Ahmed indicated that the exhibition includes the landmarks of the city of Aleppo, which each participating artist expressed in his own way through his works, indicating that he participated in two paintings from the Haroufi school that include rhythms from the Arabic language letters, which are our heritage and history prominent. The charms of the Arabic letter within an oriental symphony.

The artist, Hayat El Romo, spoke about her participation in 3 paintings using watercolor technique, which symbolizes transparency, embodying the Aleppo Citadel, which is the crown of originality, in addition to the Jdeideh neighborhood, which is one of the ancient and ancient neighborhoods of Aleppo.
