Kreuth
– The passion for his horses keeps Georg Floßmann fit.
The Kreuther will be 81 years old in October, and there are still five mighty southern German draft horses in the stable.
He wants to use four of them for the Leonhardi ride in his home community on Sunday, November 6: "God willing."
Floßmann has been traveling with Leonhardi since 1964 to collect the blessing for horses and carters.
For Floßmann, “Lehards” is as much a part of the year as Christmas and Easter.
It was hard that the traditional bypass had to be canceled for two years because of Corona.
"You're thrown off the track," says Floßmann. The Kreuth municipal council also trusts that he has his steeds under control: Floßmann drives the wagon in which the members of the committee sit.

The Kreuther Leonhardifahrt is the oldest of its kind in Bavaria.
It has been taking place for 500 years, and always on November 6th – this year on a Sunday.
The people of Kreuth attach great importance to the fact that the core of the pilgrimage is preserved and that the pleading does not turn into a tourist spectacle.
After the service in the Leonhardikirche, a good 30 magnificently decorated horse-drawn carriages and decorated wagons march through the village three times to be blessed.
Also in Festenbach
A week later, on November 13, Saint Leonhard is also commemorated in Gmund.
The traditional Leonhardi ride starts there at 2 p.m. at the Leonhardi chapel in the Festenbach district.
