Because there is no longer an innkeeper in the community center: a small dance evening instead of a big autumn ball

There will be no dance spectacle like the 2019 Autumn Ball by the dance department of TSV Karlsfeld in the community center on October 8th this year.

The traditional public autumn ball of the dance department of TSV Karlsfeld is canceled again this year.
Unlike in the past two years, this is not due to Corona.
For the members and friends of the association, however, there is an alternative event on October 8th in the Bürgersaal.

- Actually everything looked as if the autumn ball of the dance department of TSV Eintracht Karlsfeld (TSA) could take place again this year as usual.
The organizers had expected another big dance ball at the beginning of the year.

But things turned out differently.
The TSA's plans were not thwarted by the pandemic, but by the lack of a host in the community center.
As reported, there has been no tenant for the restaurant in the community center since mid-June this year.
That means: If you rent the hall for an event, you have to take care of the food and drink yourself - from the catering service to the dishes.
This poses a major challenge for the TSA.
"We simply can't find a caterer," complains Regine Kattwinkel-Eller.
She and her team from TSV have been looking for someone since July.
She has already contacted around six catering services.
The result was the same everywhere: either the offer is too expensive or the processing too complicated or there is a lack of staff.
Ball has only been out three times: in 1988, 2001 and 2020
The autumn ball of the dance department of TSV Eintracht Karlsfeld has a long tradition.
For 38 years it has taken place on the first Saturday after the Oktoberfest.
Up to 250 dance enthusiasts usually attend the ball, which takes place every year.
Usually.
The dance spectacle has only been canceled three times: in 1988, when Franz Josef Strauss died;
2001, when terrorists flew planes into the World Trade Center;
and 2020, when the corona pandemic raged in Germany.
Although there was no public fall ball last year, the TSA organized a dance evening for club members and their friends.
Such an internal replacement event will be held again this year: on October 8th, from 7.30 p.m.
The decision that Kattwinkel-Eller and her team made after months of an unsuccessful search for a caterer was not easy for everyone.
"Of course it's a pity, we were all looking forward to a big autumn ball." The TSV now runs the catering "on its own", as Kattwinkel-Eller reports.
There are snacks, pretzels and drinks.
The tables will be decorated for autumn and there will be a few interesting dance performances, says Kattwinkel-Eller.
"For the next year," she hopes, "everything will go better again."
Search for tenants for the community center: Municipality reviews applications
The TSV is not alone with the problem that there is currently no host in the Bürgersaal.
The municipality itself is also finding it difficult to find catering services for its events, such as theater subscriptions, according to the town hall.
But there is hope.
The municipality is currently reviewing applications for a new tenant.
The decision will probably be made at the upcoming Finance Committee meeting on October 11th.
