Daraa Industry Director, Engineer Imad Al-Rifai, revealed that 31 industrial and craft facilities entered work and production in Daraa during the third quarter of this year, pointing to the registration of 14 industrial establishments, with a capital of about 11 billion pounds, that secured 31 job opportunities, and were distributed among facilities for preservation and cooling. Al-Rifai said that the number of handicraft establishments entering the labor market during the same period amounted to 17, with a capital of about 300 million Syrian pounds, the value of their machines 650 million pounds, and providing 40 job opportunities, which varied between the manufacture of blocks, sweets, pastries, roasting and grinding coffee, roasting of citrus, and others.
Al-Rifai explained that in the third quarter, the directorate licensed 36 industrial and craft projects with a capital of more than 1.5 billion pounds, which will provide 72 job opportunities upon completion, pointing out that the directorate, in cooperation with all relevant authorities in the industrial and crafts sector, is working to provide some of the facilities’ work requirements, especially with regard to industrial diesel, according to a report. need, and available light.
Some industrialists and craftsmen called for an increase in the percentage granted to the owners of industrial facilities, in proportion to the actual need for it, which leads to a reduction in costs and is reflected positively on the prices of products.
