Bad Tölz - Emotions can run high in traffic.

This happened late Tuesday afternoon.

At around 4:55 p.m., a 43-year-old Tölzer parcel driver drove his VW Multivan along Bahnhofstrasse in the direction of Sachsenkamer Strasse and wanted to overtake a cyclist there.

When overtaking, the van probably gets too close to the cyclist

When the VW driver was level with the cyclist, there was oncoming traffic, whereupon he pulled the vehicle to the right and probably got too close to the cyclist.

The 44-year-old Wackersberger then hit or tore the right side mirror of the VW.

As a result, the mirror flipped up.

Brief pursuit ends in the supermarket parking lot

The cyclist then turned into the parking lot of the Netto supermarket, the Multivan driver followed him.

After a short chase, both parties stopped, got into an argument, according to the police, and finally the cyclist gave the VW driver a resounding slap in the face.

Investigations initiated against van drivers and cyclists - witnesses wanted

Investigations into coercion against the multivan driver and assault against the cyclist were initiated.

There was no damage to the VW.

Witnesses who observed the incident are asked to contact the Bad Tölz police on 0 80 41/76 10 60.
