Prime Minister Hussein Arnous discussed today with Rostam Qasemi, the Iranian Minister of Roads and Cities Building, the head of the Iranian side in the Syrian-Iranian Joint Committee, ways to enhance bilateral relations in various fields, especially economic, transport, investment, oil derivatives, and reconstruction, and open up broader horizons for them. In the interest of the two friendly peoples and countries, based on the positive results achieved in the course of joint cooperation.
Eng. Arnous expressed the Syrian government’s appreciation to the Islamic Republic of Iran, the leadership, government and people for its continuous support to the Syrian people at all levels, especially securing the necessary oil derivatives for the Syrian economy in light of the difficult conditions it faces as a result of the unjust siege, expressing his welcome to Iranian companies willing to establish partnerships with Economic activities in Syria to serve the reconstruction process and the implementation of investment projects in Syria.
For his part, Minister Qassemi reiterated Iran's continued support for Syria and standing by it to solve the difficulties it is facing, especially in the economic field, pointing to the possibility of cooperation in a number of fields, especially in the field of trade and the implementation of huge housing projects.
The two sides stressed the strategic relations between the two countries based on support and mutual respect and the importance of investing their material and human capabilities to develop the economic reality of the two countries, noting the need to strengthen cooperation between the countries and peoples of the region and networking among them to confront the hostile policies and support for terrorism by parties working to spread The destruction and devastation in the region serve the Israeli occupation entity.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade, Dr. Samer Al-Khalil, head of the Syrian side in the Syrian-Iranian joint committee, the Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Dr. Qais Muhammad Khader, and the head of the Planning and International Cooperation Commission, Dr. Fadi Al-Khalil.
