Because of an epileptic seizure, a driver from Dresden built an accident between Garching and Dietersheim on Saturday.
He shouldn't have been driving at all.
Eching
– According to the police, the man suffered a seizure early on Saturday and therefore went to a medical service in Munich.
Although he was forbidden to get behind the wheel again, the Dresdener drove from Garching towards Dietersheim at 5 p.m.
He suffered another seizure and rammed the guardrail four times with his VW bus on the main road.
The 45-year-old then drove over two traffic signs, two delineators and a marking sign and came to a standstill in the adjacent field just before the entrance to Dietersheim.
The man couldn't remember anything after that, police said.
He was admitted to the Freising Clinic.
Criminal proceedings were initiated against him “due to endangering road traffic as a result of physical defects”.
