Of course, the citizens of the Riemerlingen residential area Dahlia Garden should continue to be warm.
But only how?
This question concerns the community of Hohenbrunn, which is responsible for the heat supply.
Hohenbrunn
- Actually, a so-called heat contracting contract should have been put out to tender.
But maybe things will turn out differently.
Mayor Stefan Straßmair (CSU) asked the municipal council to postpone this point again.
He and the administration would like to find out whether there is another solution for Europe-wide tendering.
As an alternative, Straßmair suggested that a district heating line could perhaps be drawn to Dahlienstraße in Riemerling-Ost, which had previously been considered rather difficult.
Then this plan could be part of a district heating expansion in this area.
Because of the energy crisis, this project could actually be economical and more independent from other energy resources.
Contract with municipal utility expires in mid-November 2023
The municipality still has some time.
Because the existing heat contracting contract with Stadtwerke München expires on November 18, 2023.
These use a combined heat and power plant that would become the property of the Hohenbrunn municipality after the contract expired.
And that would give the church a pound in hand.
“It is no longer the newest system, but we could initially operate this combined heat and power plant ourselves for another one, two or three years until we have found a solution on how to proceed,” says Straßmair.
Straßmair does not want to miss this opportunity.
The council approved the course of action.
Climate protection manager Ilona von Schaubert also asked her boss in advance to campaign for an alternative solution.
District heating supply has been in focus for some time
The land register states that the municipality is obliged to deliver to various buildings on Rosenstrasse and Dahlienstrasse.
If there are two buildings, she has to do it anyway because she is the owner.
As early as summer 2021, the environment and climate committee recommended that the municipal council put the connection heat supply out to tender for 15 years.
Even then, district heating was not out of the question.
