In the Vaux de Vire (Calvados), at the end of September, the Virène is recovering wisely from the trying episode of summer drought.
In a few days, boosted by the rain, the river will lick the doors of the water intake chamber of Serge and Antoine Poisson's hydropower plant.
“In two weeks, we are going to install the grid at the entrance to the pipe, so that only the water can pass.
The first tests are scheduled for the end of October for commissioning next January,” proudly describes Serge, a retired EDF employee who will be launching his second hydraulic power plant there.
