This time it's the right one.
After having presented itself three times,
Limoges-Bénédictins
(Haute-Vienne) has just been designated "the most beautiful station in France" at the end of the fourth edition of the competition initiated by Gares & Connexions, the subsidiary of the SNCF which operates the passenger stations.
In September, Internet users were invited to vote on Facebook and Instagram for their favorite station among 12 finalists (one per region).
A total of 70,742 votes were collected.
With 15,337 votes obtained, Limoges-Bénédictins thus succeeds Metz-Ville (Moselle), rewarded during the three editions which have taken place since the launch of the competition in 2017. On the strength of this triple consecration, the town hall of Metz did not wish participate in the 2022 edition in order to give other candidates a chance.

Saint-Brieuc and Troyes on the podium
Built in 1929, Limoges-Bénédictins station is recognizable by its 67-meter-high bell tower.
The clocks arranged on its four sides are set two minutes in advance to ensure the punctuality of travelers.
The building, which borrows from Art Deco and Art Nouveau styles and regionalist architecture, is regularly used as a filming location for films.
