It has been ten years since the shipwreck on Lamma Island, but the authorities have not made public the details of the investigation report.
Legislative Council member Zhang Xinyu attended the front office exchange meeting today (5th) and reiterated the Lamma Island accident to the Secretary for Transport and Logistics, Lam Sai Hung, and asked the authorities to publish the investigation report. However, Lam Sai Hung only responded "look forward".
Zhang Xinyu said that he will continue to urge the government to follow up on the incident in different ways, saying bluntly, "The government must respond and be open and honest!"

Zhang Xinyu quoted Lin Shixiong to respond that he said, "After many years, look forward", describing Lin Shixiong's attitude as obviously conservative.
He pointed out that although Lin Shih-hung was not the director at the time of the Lamma shipwreck, he believed that this was the responsibility of the entire government. He emphasized that many families of the victims were still brooding, and their hearts could not be resolved. He believed that the government needed to give justice to the deceased. In addition, he revealed that he had just become a trainee engineer ten years ago, and several of the victims in the Lamma shipwreck were friends from the same industry, so he has always been "uneasy" about the accident.
He also said that many training courses for engineers will use the Lamma Island disaster as a negative teaching material.
Zhang Xinyu said: "Today's proposal at the front office exchange meeting is only the first step. In the future, I will continue to talk about the shipwreck on Lamma Island.
