The great Parisian forum brings together this Thursday and Friday, place de la Concorde (VIII), 400 companies from all sectors ready to recruit

Ikea, Big Mamma, Dassault Aviation… They are all there.

Recruiters from 400 companies from all sectors await job seekers this Thursday and Friday at Place de la Concorde (VIII) on the occasion of the 20th edition of the Paris forum for employment.

Nurses, works supervisors, accountants, cybersecurity engineers… In total, 10,000 jobs are to be filled.

The operation, which mobilizes 100 more companies than the previous year, aims to bring unskilled people back into employment but also to fill positions sometimes requiring up to a baccalaureate + 8. All offers are classified on the oui-emploi.fr site, in 17 categories ranging from teaching to digital or construction professions.

A special place is granted this year to aeronautical professions.

Engineers, technicians, production operators… The sector recruits people with a CAP or Bac + 8.

Boosting the hotel and restaurant sector

The forum also finds an echo in the 1st arrondissement during these two days since the Paris City Hall and its partners are organizing a parallel event around the hotel, catering and tourism professions aimed at young people.

A series of conferences and workshops is organized in the presence of industry leaders such as chefs Mory Sacko or Thibaut Spiwack, at the Quartier Jeunes (QJ), a place for 16-30 year olds established in the former town hall of the 1st arrondissement.

The purpose of this meeting is to surf on the return of tourists to the capital after two years marked by Covid-19, but also on the approach of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. nevertheless remains unstable and uneven across different economic sectors.

Bringing companies and job seekers together is therefore still crucial for recruiting.

This is all the more true for the hotel and catering industry,” comments Afaf Gabelotaud, Deputy Mayor of Paris in charge of business, employment and economic development.

Aspiring restaurateur or not, it's in Paris that it's happening for the next two days.
