An extensive expansion is planned at the Erding Clinic.

This includes a larger emergency room to the south of the hospital.

The rescue service can then approach them via the driveway at the waterworks (top, middle).

Erding's city councilors decide on the development plan for the expansion of the clinic.

There were no major points of criticism in the comments.

Erding – The Erding Clinic is to be expanded and modernized over the next 10 to 15 years for around 55 million euros.

After deducting state subsidies, the district, as the body responsible for the clinic, has to invest around 20 million euros.

As early as 2008, the city council had decided on a development plan to secure the hospital site.

In the planning and building committee, the city councilors now dealt with the objections of the authorities and private individuals.

After there was hardly any need for discussion, the committee unanimously approved the development plan, which the administration will now announce.

"This brings a long-lasting and extensive work to an end," said Mayor Max Gotz (CSU) with satisfaction.

New buildings for a radiation therapy practice and a significantly larger dialysis center have priority in the planning.

Another new building between the main building and the staff accommodation building is planned for blood washing.

Here the complexes are to be connected with a pedestrian bridge.

Another project is a new emergency room in the south of the clinic, which can then be reached more quickly and easily for ambulances from Am Wasserwerk (we reported).

An extension is planned to the east of the main building, which will one day house the psychiatric day clinic that has been desired for years.

Pain therapy should also move in there.

The helipad could be moved to the roof of the clinic.

The aviation office of the government of Upper Bavaria noted that a new application would be necessary.

A resident complained about the noise that the rescue planes would cause.

The administration contradicted this on the basis of sound insulation reports.

In addition, the helicopter flights are sporadic and short-term.

This rules out permanent hearing damage.

The lower nature conservation authority in the district office called for sufficient compensation areas to be identified, trees to be included in the open space design and bird damage to glass surfaces to be reduced.

It is important to Deutsche Bahn that measures can continue to be carried out on the S-Bahn line.

The city administration has no concerns here, as the railway line runs around 300 meters away from the planning area.

The Lower Emission Protection Authority noted that, according to acoustic tests, it could be proven that the noise from the neighboring sports facilities did not cause any damage in the current nursing home.

In addition, there are no "immission points" in this building that could be attributed to the need for protection of a hospital or nursing facility.

In this context, Burkhart Köppen (CSU) noted that nurses' residence was an "anachronistic term" and that he preferred "staff residence".

The committee decided unanimously to stick to the provisions for protection against harmful environmental effects, also because it was not known how the staff residence would be used in the future.

They want to inform the district office about the antiquated terminology.
