The Neuchinger sports hall is to be fitted with a generator so that it can become an emergency shelter in an emergency.

Work on the new building is progressing.

Neuching

– The construction of the Neuchinger sports hall is progressing.

Once it is finished, the hall will serve as an emergency shelter in the event of a disaster.

This requires an external power supply.

By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Erding newsletter.

Municipal councilor Markus Sedlmeir (ÜWG) had suggested that the sports hall should be prepared in such a way that in the event of a disaster it would be possible to supply it from an external generator.

Because in this case the hall would serve as an emergency shelter.

The responsible engineering office for electrical planning advised that this was fundamentally possible and that the costs would be requested from the company carrying out the work.

The members of the committee gave words of praise and approval for Sedlmeir's proposal.

In the near future there will also be a review of whether such a conversion could also come for the town hall and the volunteer fire brigade.

At the council meeting, Mayor Thomas Bartl (CSU) emphasized: “In a neighboring community there is already a concept for the fire brigades.

We would be even better equipped than we are now should the worst come to the worst.”

Bartl also presented a current status report on the sports hall.

A small milestone took place on September 20, when the last parts of the facade scaffolding disappeared, marking the end of work on the building's exterior.

The workers are currently laying various lines, including for the water on the tennis courts and the heat for the children's home.

The landscaping work for the outdoor facilities also started at the end of September.

There is still a lot going on inside the sports hall.

The raw installations are largely complete, and the screed was recently laid in many rooms.

An exception to this is the sports hall and the multi-purpose room, where an elastic sprung floor is installed.

The City Council voted on two more awards at the meeting.

The tiling and slab work costs around 160,000 euros gross with the cheapest offer and is therefore a good 35,000 euros more than the previous cost calculation.

The covering of three tennis courts as sand courts in the traditional sense costs almost 84,000 euros gross.

The tennis department used to plan to implement all courts as all-weather variants.

"The costs would have been higher, but overall we're a bit below the calculation," said Bartl.
