OB Reiter tested positive for Corona

The corona numbers are increasing in Munich.
Now Dieter Reiter may have gotten it again: the city reports a positive quick test by the mayor.
Munich – Mayor Dieter Reiter (SPD) held out for two weeks at the Wiesn – now the corona virus may have caught him.
Because of a positive rapid test, Reiter was unable to take part in the general meeting of the city council on Wednesday, October 5th.
This is reported by the city of Munich.
The SPD politician has flu-like symptoms, but can work from home.
Corona in Munich: Mayor Reiter tested positive
The 64-year-old is not alone with his positive corona test: a sharp increase in the number of infections has been observed in Munich since last week, and the beds in the clinics are also filling up.
Experts see a connection to the Oktoberfest, which ended on Monday.

If the infection is confirmed in Reiter, this would be the second corona disease for the mayor within a few months.
Reiter only tested positive for Sars-CoV-2 in February.
